Arts and Crafty mom of two great daughters!
I live in sunny Southern California with two beautiful daughters, ages 11 and 13, and my wonderful husband. If I lived in a perfect world, I would be doing something crafty everyday and feeding my creative soul actually keeps me sane! My passion is miniatures in dollhouses, but at an artisan level. My goal is to create miniature versions of items with so much detail, that you can't tell they are not life size, without a guide to its scale!
The other thing I love about miniatures is how it allows me to dabble in so many mediums. I work in wood, paint, sculpt, solder, embroider, sew... you name it!
I also adore virtually any type of embroidery, cross-stich, needlepoint or petipoint. I love everything from embroidering vintage style tea towels for the kitchen, to traditional wall hangings to micro sized tapestries for tiny castles.
My mother put me in front of a sewing machine when I was around 8 or 9 and there was no looking back. My first project was potholders for her kitchen. By fifth grade, I was sewing myself clothing from patterns and today I am confident enough to even create my own patterns (primarily for historical recreation events).
Some of my inspirations are Tasha Tudor, Jan Brett, Martha Stewart, and Theresa Layman
