Bunnyhill Designs is doing a really cool block of the month, for free! So I have decided to try my hand at it. My first discovery was that I am REALLY rusty at applique. After a few false starts, it did come back to me, but I suspect I will continue to improve as the year goes on. My last project with applique was almost 10 years ago, a mini wall quilt for my mom.
Anyhow, here is how January turned out!
Ever have a day where you just *have* to make something? When everything else will just have to take a backseat? Today was one of those days for me. This week I had found a really cute pattern for a softie bunny, so I decided to try my hand at it.
Please meet Bubble, the bunny...
Bubble is a proper English bunny, and if all goes well, in the near future he will have a brother named Squeek.

At my office, people often hang a photo copied sign outside their cubicle while they are at lunch or on break, so people will know, if they come looking for them. It is a great idea, but a copy of a copy of a copy just looks so sad. I decided to make a cuter one for mine.
Here is how it turned out, one side says "Lunch"
And the other side says "Break"
